Electrical Estimates

Our estimators are available Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm. If necessary, appointments can be arranged outside of these hours, and in urgent cases even more promptly with work starting immediately. Written estimates are emailed within 48 hours of the visit and are valid for 6 months, hard copies can be posted on request.

A site visit enables our estimator to scope the works, providing you with a detailed breakdown of the costs and schedule. Estimates are generally non-chargeable, but some may incur a charge depending on the nature of the work, time and location of your appointment. Should you proceed with the work, any charge made for your estimate will be deducted from the final invoice.

Workmanship Guarantee

For your peace of mind, we guarantee most of our jobs against faulty workmanship for 12 months.

Due to the nature of certain works or repairs, such as drain blockages, we are unable to provide the 12-month labour guarantee. This will be clearly marked on your invoice.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask one of our friendly call centre team or your tradesperson.

Material Guarantees

Materials and parts supplied by Pimlico will be covered by a manufacturers guarantee or warranty.

This usually guarantees replacement or repair of faulty goods within a fixed period which is usually 12 months.

Guarantees are legally enforceable, and details on how to make a claim should be included clearly. This is in addition to your rights as a buyer, which should be made clear in the guarantee.

Installations

Our registered electricians can install, extend and adapt all parts of your electrical systems, including circuit breakers, circuit boards, earthing ports, bonding within consumer units, fuse boards, structured cabling and transformers. We carry out installations and replacements of new light fittings and switches, and are able to design and install new lighting systems in both domestic and commercial premises.

Fault Finding

Our NICEIC electricians can carry out test inspections, diagnosis and fault finding on electrical systems and are fully qualified, complying with all the latest requirements and regulations to ensure that your work is done to the highest standard. Using the latest equipment to trace faults enables our electricians to repair faults quickly.

Once the engineer has carried out the inspection they will provide a report detailing any faults and recommendations for remedial works, they can also provide an electrical inspection report for landlords.

Fusebox Check:

An old fusebox is inevitably accompanied by old wiring, neither of which are ideal for the needs of modern living. With an ever-increasing number of appliances and electronic devices in the home, the strain on an older system makes it much less safe than a modern fusebox.

A quick fix is to install a new fusebox, which will be much more sensitive than an older model, tripping out in a fraction of a second and fast enough to prevent electrocution, shutting down a circuit before anything serious happens. Get in touch if you think your home electrics need some attention.
